You guys need to get to grips with Taskinfo http://www.iarsn.com/taskinfo/tskinf92.exe. Start Studio with your project/TL and watch the disk activity in Taskinfo - as long as there is disk activity above about 100KB/s you are screwed when trying to measure performance in Studio.
