• Re: PS23 Thoughts

I could not agree more with you Tony. Pinnacle 23 U is just fantastisk and to the great price they are offering, it could not be a more professional program to edit videos with. I started of with the simple version 8, so long ago I cant even remember when it was and have since bought every program up till now and realised that PS23 is actually ...

  • Re: What Spec Computer Would You Get?

Hi Bob,It would be very interesting to know if you had a test video done on your old system and compared that same video with your new super duper system, to see the differences in rendering and encoding, as this is the system I have had in mind for a long time. See my blog on ''Pinnacle Studio 17.6 requirements for best performance'', which seam ...

  • Re: Pinnacle Studio 17.6 requirements for best performance.

Please let me explain that I am only trying to learn what would be the absolute best system for best performance using Pinnacle 17 and using components readily available today in computer shops. A new system with i7-5960X, water cooling, mother board, RAM, power supply and graphics card would probably cost about US$3000 to 3.500 or more, ...

Please correct me if I am wrong, but does these values not show that i7-5960X is a very good CPU to use for video editing compared to ...

I would say that if there is an improvement of 20-25% I would spend the extra money.

Aha.... so perhaps I should improve my CPU and GPU then? But when does it just cost too much and you do not get enough in return for your money? This may be answered by some one who has a very fast CPU and GPU and then later when the i7-5960X comes out and some one tests it.Would be very interesting to learn about this.
