Color corrections from previous versions: 1. The previous version Color correct is applied to the clip in Preview and Export 2. They are still a Green bar above the track rather than PS24's Edit Color Pink 3. They are still not editable. Clicking Corrections, then Edit on the Green Bar opens an Editor/Corrections tab to nowhere, since ...

HEVC/265 Cursor jump back seems to have been improved. I've seen it jump backwards to the previous point, but then jump back to the correct position before preview playing.

The HEVC/265 Editor Color Tab tainted clip is improved. Now only a 33% decrease in BG Render Speed from 84% decrease in BG Render Speed with no correction or effect touched or applied. The taint still stays in the project, only way to remove it is to create a new ...

  • Re: PS24 - I was blaming HSL for slow HEVC/265 Render Times. Boy was I wrong!

culpanr:Good bit of detective work... The crash in PS23 does not depend on HEVC clips; going to Editor -> Color will taint any kind of video clip in the project (and PS23 will crash when trying to open it). Needs reporting as a bug. Interesting thought. If that is the case, does a tainted H264(non-HEVC) 4K clip BG render and export ...

Very interesting..... Good catch.... I've been so focused on HEVC issues that I missed that. Here's another interesting fact. If you remove this portion of the project file, it un-taints the slow down on that clip in PS24. So, it is something within this ''ColorList'' section that causes the 1/6 speed BG render, ...

Here is a little bit more of a clue of what happens when a HEVC clip gets tainted in PS24 by clicking on the Editor Color Tab. PS23 crashes when you open a PS24 project with a tainted clip. So I took a working project with some HEVC clips in it. Opened it in PS24 and saved it under a new filename. Closed PS24, opened the newly ...

So you are seeing the rendering slow down, but only after making a color adjustment? Does it go back to fast render if you remove the color change, or does it stay tainted?
