• Re: Bluray problems

The source seems to be 640x480 and 720x480, so it can go either way

  • Re: Poor MP4 quality

I'm not sure if handbrake corrupts 640x480 videos like it does some older 720x480 AVI files making them 704x480(Content Only). If your source video is 640x480, then set the Handbrake output video size to 640x480. What device did you use to capture 640x480 DV? DV Spec:Closely following ITU-R Rec. 601 standard, DV ...

  • Re: Bluray problems

No version of PS past version 18 works very good for making blu-rays. Not even images. I export my projects in later versions of PS to and MTS file. I then load the exported MTS file on the timeline of a PS18 project and burn the blu-ray image. Works every time.

  • Re: Blu-ray Image Quality

The hang up issue is why I use PS18 for Blu-Rays. PS18 makes Blu-Ray images perfectly. I export my project to a 100mbps MTS file in PS21.5 & PS23. I then place this file on the timeline of PS18 and burn a Blu-Ray image. Works every time and looks great. I always leave the bitrate at 100mbps. PS can't make ...

  • Re: Blu-ray Image Quality

Sorry, I can't help you with that. I haven't needed to burn a PS23 project to a Blu-Ray. I burn my PS21.5 project Blu-Rays in PS18. It just works better. Isn't there a best quality setting? Why are you limiting the bit rate?

What version of studio are you using?

  • Re: Poor MP4 quality

I would use handbrake and force the output resolution to match the source. You have to specify the output resolution so that it matches your source. If you don't specify it, some time it converts it to 702 x 480 and looks horrible. This gives the best result, and a lot less work than PS. Once you get the compression set the ...

  • Re: Poor quality blu-ray output

1920 divided by 720 is not an even number, so it is going to make up pixels when it exports.

  • Re: Poor quality blu-ray output

You are changing the aspect ratio. 720x480(4:3) 1920x1080(16:9). Record the old movie at 720x480 rather than 1920x1080. You could also crop the 1920x1080 movie so that only the 4:3 portion was visible, then export it, but it won't be as good quality as recording it at 720x480 to start with.

  • Re: Pindacle 20 - MPEG-4 exported video inserted wrong frames

You are welcome. I've had this problem in the past mixing interlaced and progressive clips on progressive timeline. I'm glad Saby was able to help walk you through it.
