Some further input that may be useful in any communication with Corel. I was hesitant to say this previously as it might be seen as criticism or an attempt at design that 'techos' don't like, or conflict with other design plans by Corel. However, it seems pretty straight forward, at least to me.
The Fades (cross-fades) ...

A Support ticket has been raised with Corel Technical Support as follows:
In the Control Panel > Project Settings > Transition Mode there is an option for 'Overlap Clips' that does not appear to work:
1. When a Transition is Dragged, Added via the Context Menu or Sent to the Timeline, the clips are not overlapped and the Timeline is not ...

Thanks jjn
Do I need to raise a support ticket with Corel or is there another way to escalate it for consideration? Some form of 'hot fix' would be great if possible rather than waiting an extended period for another 'Patch'.

Timeline in Insert Mode. Adding IN or OUT Fades worked fine.....overlapped the clips and shortened the Timeline, but the Transitions when added do not change the Timeline.
I toggled the switch in the Control Panel and re-started PS a couple of times but no change. The Transition Editor also displays 'Overlap Clips'.

Jjn, as you suggested I updated to PS22.2.0.325 (64-bit) and the results of some testing on Fades and Transitions are set out below. Tested with 'Overlap Clips' selected in the Transition Mode setting in the Control Panel and the timeline set to Insert mode (PS22 re-started a number of times): Fades ADD Fades appears ...

Unfortunately I rely heavily on Fades and some Transitions and not overlapping is way too time consuming and results in poor ...

Hi, you could try this.....assuming the date and time were synced on the cameras.
If you still have the original files with the standard camera file naming convention (or a copy of the renamed files that contain the standard camera naming) then copy all the files into a single Windows folder. The naming standards for example may ...

Hi
If using PS21U you need to use Time Remapping:
- Select Editor (Top Left)
- On the top row of the Editor window commencing with Properties, Corrections, etc scroll across to the right (if necessary) to Time Remapping
- Select Time Re-mapping and you will find the adjustment settings including 'Speed'

Hi
You could try:
1. Remove any transitions at the start and end of the 'bad' clips
2. Delete the 'bad' clips from the Timeline
3. Re-add the clips from the Library, Project Bin, etc and reset any Transitions.
Try to Export again.

I had the same problem.
Agree, leave a blank CD in the drive/burner when not in use or replace the unit.
