• PS23 - Multiple Issues After Installation & No Audio On .m2ts Files

Hi I downloaded and installed PS23 Ultimate Build (64Bit) and the Content Packages. All went well. When PS was opened a spinning wheel flickered on and off for a long period. When the wheel stopped I tried to open the Control Panel to adjust the settings. PS either froze or the PS window turned opaque and needed ...

  • Re: Transitions explained in PS23U still not updated.

Oh, sorry I didn't realise you had trimmed the clip. Quick examples would be: In PS22.3, add a 10 second clip to the Timeline (with Transition Mode = Overlap Clips and Timeline = Insert Mode). Then: T1 - Split the clip and add a 2 second Transition. The timeline remains at 10 seconds; there is no overlap. T2 - Add an IN or ...

  • Re: Transitions explained in PS23U still not updated.

Sorry for the delayed response. I had been trying to come up with a clearly worded explanation. However, I think Richard has explained the problem more succinctly than I could. The issue had been raised with Corel and it appears to be fixed in PS23 so I guess it's time to upgrade and hopefully the PS22 ...

  • Re: Transitions explained in PS23U still not updated.

Tony, I think this Control Panel Setting in PS 22 at least, only applies to 'Fades' (dragging start/end of clips), as far as I have been able to determine Transitions and Ripples of Fades/Transitions cannot be forced to overlap the clips. Transitions and Ripples always Maintain Sync, so much trimming is necessary to achieve good video ...

  • Re: Studio 22.3 Patch - First Impressions

Tks Tony Re the Un-do and Re-do question. I seem to be able to perform both many times back to the point where the PS session started. I was thinking along the same lines that the components required for Un-do and Re-do might be stored in Memory or perhaps components such as Deletes & Trimming were not released as the Timeline ...

  • Re: Studio 22.3 Patch - First Impressions

Thanks Tony I tried adjusting the Quality and Balance again as you suggested but as in PS21.2 it makes very little difference, except of course that Rendering is stopped. However, it did disprove my theory that the jumping playhead might be related to Rendering. Without Rendering the playhead still jumped; to where ...

  • Re: Studio 22.3 Patch - First Impressions

Hi Tony A bit more testing (projects with 1.5 hours and 3.5 hours on the Timeline). In PS22.3 the playhead still jumps to seemingly random positions and there is a small delay before the playhead can be moved and play started. I think that sometimes an edit causes rendering further along the Timeline (for some reason), even ...

  • Studio 22.3 Patch - First Impressions

Hi I decided to install the V22.3 Patch whilst in the early stages of editing 5 long-form projects to see if the patch contained any enhanced functionality to improve the editing workflow. My projects typically start with 2 to 3.5 hours of travel video (M2TS), JPEG and TIF files on the Timeline plus Titles, SmartSounds & ...

  • Re: Effect to keep an object centralised?

A suggested alternative that may work depending on your requirements. If the clip is long enough and the centralised sections are fairly consistent you may be able to make a cut where the wandering starts and again where it ends ends and delete that portion (may only be a few frames). Close the Gap. If necessary, adding a ...

  • Re: PS22 U - Cross Dissolve Transition

Tks Saby I tested the new option in the Control Panel after downloading and installing full PS22.2U (not just the patch) and it does not revert back to the handling as per PS21.2 (at least on my system). If it reverts to PS21.5 then there is still a problem because the changed processing was introduced in ...
