Why would you export and import? You just need to install the later Liquid version and make sure the pathes to the media files are set properly. Then you can open the project of your 5.5 version with the later version and go on editing. You don't need to export and import.
Before opening a project created with a lower Liquid version, I suggest to ...

This could be caused by referring to media on removable media. Delete then the clip. If that's not the reason. Try to fuse the sequence. If it works, put the fused clip in a new sequence and export ...

What kind of mails are they? Are you sure they are from Pinnacle or could it be a spammer flooding your mailbox? You could check the headlines of the mails which are typically hidden.

For uncompressed picture sequences you should choose that format since it doesn't compress your video. It depends on what you are going to do then with the created files. That format creates huge files but in many cases I-Frame MPEG50 is sufficient.

You need a serial number for both Liquid and TitleDeko Pro; they are typically on the CD's sleeve. The cd is not copy protected, so you could make a safety copy. The most important things are the serial numbers and the projects. If you capture your material always from tapes that have timecode and you capture it using the logging tool, you can ...
