I used the driver that is linked to in my prior post and it does solve the BSOD problem.

You have to download it from the Realtek site. Try the following link and choose the ''USB card reader driver for Win XP/Vista/Win7 Driver (32/64 bits) Driver only (ZIP file)'' I have not applied this download as of yet so good luck with it and I hope it works for everyone.

Jan,
Control Panel / Device Manager / Universal Serial Bus Controllers / Right Click on Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader and choose Disable. That's all there is to it. I re-started my PC just to make sure the changes took effect.
Unless Pinnacle comes up ...

This problem is getting to the point of being ridiculous. I could see a Vista or Dell software or hardware problem IF no other programs could use the burner without the BSOD, but as reported by many other users, other programs cause no such BSOD's. I probably should have used the money spent on Studio 12 on another product.
