Care to post at least the MediaInfo result of the first clip that you are using? That should give us a clue also. I am particularly interested in the actual resolution of the clip.

DVR-MS is not officially supported by Studio but converting them to MPEG2 or AVI (be sure to read this first though) should work. Try to look for converters here.

Does it happen with every DVD disc you have? How about copying the entire disc to a temporary directory on your hard drive and import from there? Will that work? Moved to Studio - Edit

You don't need to transfer any files to the new computer as long as you have not customized the menu on the previous one. What you need to do is to transfer content, see section 2 of this link and regenerate your activation keys here.   Moved to Studio - Audio & Video-plug-in

You may want to look at this thread but it's specific with the Dazzle device. Pinnacle Video Transfer does capture directly to USB devices and can't be connected to a PC.

Do you have any way you could pull up the complete error message?
