• Re: Dropped frames in DV mode only

Couple of other things. Probably a bit far out but you never know! Before I started capturing on my Dell laptop I was using an older lower powered desktop running XP and Pinnacle 9.4. Still running XP on the Dell. Read that there was something in XP SP2 that could create capture problems. My old system would not recognize ...

  • Re: Dropped frames in DV mode only

I had this problem a few weeks ago. I found that disconnecting from the internet and then disabling antivirus and firewall software enabled me to capture without any dropped frames. Just a thought anyway. Dave

  • Re: Menu link

Welcome aboard. Its a while since I did this but if I remember rightly I simply dragged and dropped the sub menu to the chapters link on the main menu. This one usually only has two buttons ''Watch movie'' and ''Chapters'' Drag it right to the chapters button. Hope this solves it for you. Dave

  • Re: Audio issue when capturing from Sony HV20 with Studio 10

Someone advised me to use DVD re-writable media when making trial DVDs. That way it can be re-used and saves making lots of expensive coasters. It has definitely saved me a lot of waste. Dave

  • rendering again for minor changes

Just completed a project and saved to dvd. I am generally totally happy with the picture quality etc. That said, I noticed a couple of goofs I had made with the volume level on a couple of clips and one clip that I cut too soon. Easily fixed on the timeline. I cannot find any way to do some kind of brief re-render of the ...

  • Re: Best video card

Thanks for the link. Lots of good feedback there. Seems like there are so many variables in each system that what works for one may not for another. Just have to make a choice and hope it flies. Dave

  • Best video card

Just doing a little drooling over some of the Core I7 systems. Now I read of I5. Guess I should wait a bit longer before jumping in for a new desktop to see how things shake out. Apart from the processors it would seem that the video card is probably the next most important part of the system. I'm interested in your thoughts ...

  • Re: Studio 14 download available now?

Kawboy:*sigh*.. I just bought 12 about a month ago.. I got a pretty decent deal on it, but really don't want to buy it again this soon. I can relate to that. Just bought 12 plus about a month or so ago and have it working to my satisfaction. Gonna be a wait and see situation for me anyway! Dave
