I ran across this mod after reading elsewhere that WINDOW 7 ULTIMATE allowed old programs to run in WIN 7 that wouldn't otherwise run, giving that as a reason to buy WIN7 Ultimate. Apparently a mod is available for WIN7 PRO and ENTERPRISE.

Has anyone tried installing Avid Liquid 7.2 in a WIN7 PROFESSIONAL system, using this Windows XP mod, sounds promising.

Lew, you are probably right without me even checking, because I did change a setting like that, on a whim, thinking I was doing something to improve the situation. I now remember either seeing that issue on a training video, or in a comment on this forum years ago, and I had forgotten about it. Thanks, for now. ...

I imported 3 tapes of HD video a few weeks just fine, went back to download another tape recently, and the tape gets imported apparently ok, as the huge files are there in the REELS folder on the hard drive (indicating the files aren't empty, there are about 10 files total associated with each downloaded ...

I don't know what your problem is and I would think you shouldn't have any problems, maybe it is a correctable software problem. The Radeon 2400 PRO PCI express card 256 MB is a very low cost card, I just completed a 3-1/2 hour HD project and had no technical problems--It has dual outputs plus an HDMI output , which I have never tried to ...

I got two of the WD TV media players. I loan one out to the couple to review their wedding video in HD, without having to burn discs. They get to see their preliminary video in HD for approval without the hassle and expense of discs. You can watch an HD video of any length without changing disc, again nicer than Bluray.. I can ...

I want to recommend the new ESata/USB 2.0 combo drives over the plain USB 2.0 drives for use with the WD Media Player--ESata is supposed to be much faster than USB 2.0 and you can put an external ESata port on your computer for $15 or less. I transferred a 33 GB MPEG-2 to the drive in 7 minutes.
