Right now, the Preview panel, Editor panel, and Scene panel are all in the same window. It would be great if these could be 3 separate windows. It would be great to have the ability to capture a file using a timer. In other words, record for X minutes.
Once the minutes were done, it would be nice to be able to automatically exit and shut down the machine (optional).

If the *.stx files just held references, there could be a single video file on the hard drive, but when you open the ''Wilma.stx'' file, you would see all the clip references with Wilma in them, and when you opened the ''Pebbles.stx'' file, it would have references that point to all the pebbles sections of the video file. Another option if you don't want to use a database, is to create a stand-alone executable that can allow us to read *.stx files.
This way, we can open several *.stx files and drag clips from any stx file to the main screen.

One other option is a savable clip board screen where we can drag clips from project to project. Each separate panel could be saved as an stx file, so there could be multiple clip pads open from different projects.

I'd like to submit a feature request for a “Clip Library Manager”. It’s just a way to save and categorize the references to clips across many videos.
For example:
