i know but i dont understand why im limited to 480i like u said... or is that just cause of the dazzle?
does this mean i will be able to capture then or not? :O

what do u mean? the xbox can run on 480p 720p 1080i 1080p

i suppose not,, it would be an xbox on HD setting connected to the TV :P

Currently I have my Dazzle DVC 100 working and capturing in colour off a PAL 60Hz TV.... I was wondering if I bought a HD TV would it still work? Some people seem to think they don't work on HD so thanks for any help you can give me.

it should work fine using the tv out sockets.. splitters are for people who have tv's that dont have tv out sockets, i believe.
BUT: u need to make sure ur tv out sockets actually work.. lol, because i found out mine didnt

additional notes i have found out needed to make my solution work:
1) make sure you have the latest version of windows movie maker and the relevant updates for it
2) make sure you have the latest drivers for your cap card.. these 2 are good (for DVC 100 at ...

check out the thread i made about it (should be on the front page of studio - capture somewhere) i had a similar problem i think..
try only splitting the video link (i.e. the yellow one from ur xbox) and split that with a NON-yellow cable into the dazzle, then just plug in the audio ones straight from xbox to your tv as u dont need to ...

hey sorry it took me a while to reply ive had internet problems, all from my ISP i might add and not myself :D
anyway, here are the 2 youtube links which basically say the same thing, it allows you to record using dazzle with pal 60hz ...

thanks a lot, i found a video on youtube finding a way around my problem (i can now record in colour) but theres still some interference which i believe is from the y-splitter so ill try buying one of the active filters,
