• Re: BBC iPlayer WMV9 files

Worth noting that the iPlayer ''Windows Media Player'' downloads, are working again with the SC200. Once the file hasd been downloaded, make sure you can play it in Windows Media Player 11, and configure library sharing to point at the directory that the file is stored in, and configurwe sharing to allow the SC200 to connect. Good luckTrevor

  • DTS Audio

I haven't see much posted about this, so here's something else you can do with your SC200. There's an (unofficial?) audio format called dtswav, which is a DTS (5.1) stream wrapped in a wav container. As it happens when the SC200 is presented with this, it sees it as a regular wav file, and will attempt to play it. The sound on the TV will be ...

  • Re: Is it possible to play an entire folder of music files on 200 or 250 with beta firmware

valiant2:I upgraded to the new beta software about a year ago and experimented with various media servers. I couldn't get any of them to play the entire contents of a folder containing music. One file would play and then stop at the end. In the end I downgraded the firmware and reverted to using the Pinnacle Media Server. Has anyone ...

  • Subtitle Bug

Hi, don't know if this has been covered elsewhere, but theres a bit of a bug with the way the SC200 handles subtitles. If the subtitle option is switched on in the SC settings, the SC will request the subtitle (srt, sub, smi or ssa) file from the media server. If the server returns the subtitle file then the video starts, and displays the ...

  • Re: SC200 internal power supply card knackered

Forthpalm:Hi there - thanks for the link. Can you please let us know how you connected the mobile charger to the SC motherboard? I doubt that most chargers will supply enough current, I should think that you would need at least 2A. Anyway most barrel connectors are +ve in the centre and -ve on the outside, but check the ratings ...

  • Re: VGA display (European models)

Hi, did not carry out a detailed comparison, but it's better than the scart composite, and probably the same as component on my 19in kitchen TV. The main reason I did this was so I could hook up a spare box to my PC monitor spare VGA port, mainly to play music when I'm at the PC. Though if I had known about it earlier I would have bought a ...

  • VGA display (European models)

On the SC200 setup menu there is a display otpion for VGA output. To use this oupion you will need a special VGA to Scart cable, which Pinnacle did suppy at one time. However if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can make your own, here are the pinouts.VGA pin - signal - scart pin1 - Red - 152 - Green - 113 - Blue - 76 - Red Ground - 137 - ...
