• Re: W7 Problem Steps Recorder

JKoch The resulting zip file can be opened in XP or whereever. By default the number of screen shots is 25 although this can be increased if required. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me) I am not in a system hang situation so cannot say what happens. I too wonder if it can be stopped and the zip file created in those conditions. Here is the ...

  • Re: Studio 14 and Smartsound - Official reply from Smartsound

I do not usually uprade for the sake of it. The only reason I went from W98 to XP was my new computer (at the time) had XP. Likewise any new computer now is going to have W7. I have been running W7 RC for some time and have grown to like it in preference to XP. So much so that I bought W7 home premium fairly cheaply as a ...

  • Re: not sure what to use for my system

Just what is it you wish to capture. Certainly Pinnacle Studio will capture directly from a DV camcorder via the firewire port. I assume it would be the same for any USB and HD type camcorders. I leave it to others to extoll the virtues of various add on cards and boxes. I have never used one and , frankly, even know what they are ...

  • W7 Problem Steps Recorder

For those of you with Windows 7 who might have difficulty in explaining to tech support the steps taken to reach a particular problem (screen freezes on pressing a button, for instance), may I refer you to the Problem Steps Recorder. Instructions for using this utility is in the W7 help and support but basically it records each ...

Buddy Happy thanksgiving. By then tropical storm Ada should have passed through your area. My kids (now in their 40's) all have homes of their own but hardly a day goes by that one or more doesn't drop in with great/grandchildren. It's a relief when we get a quiet day. Still, woudn't have it any other way - would we? No doubt you will be ...

  • Re: Can HD source be put on to a SD DVD ?

Jkoch You mean the ZS3. I like your enthusiasm for it, which prompted me to delve further. It may be $300 in the US but over here (UK) it is £300 which is about $500. Both Amazon prices.

  • Re: Studio 14 crash - weird error message

This is a user forum. What Pinnacle support don't get to know doesn't get fixed. It is worth sending them an E-mail.

  • Re: Recommend a mini-DV consumer camera?

Before purchasing my first camcorder I did not know what to get either. The way I decided was to buy a selection of camcorder magazines for a few months and compare the various features, test results and prices. I settled for the Sony PC8 (this was some years ago) and I still use it today.

  • Re: Dropped frames in DV mode only

jjn is probably right but, thinking laterally, when did your camcorder heads last see a cleaning tape.
