I am running: 2x NVIDIA 8800GTX PCI-E video cards with 768MB each. Absolutely no problems. I am using two cards that are driving 4x 19 inch Samsung monitors.
The rest of my specs are:
ASUS Crosshair mobo, AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core 6000+, 4GB OCZ RAM, 4x 250 Seagate Barracuda SATA drives @7200 rpm, Plextor PX-755SA DVD burner.

Better? I think I'll leave the subjective analysis to other users. There are advantages and disadvantages in using a 64-bit OS. As the previous poster pointed out, the ability to access vast amounts of memory is a big plus especially when your dealing with potentially VERY large files like those generated in Studio. One thing to keep in mind is ...

You didn't say what DVD burner your using. I too had problem with failed or mid-complete-fail burnings as well. After I updated the firmware on my burner, everything seemed to correct itself. I was using a Plextor DVD burner and went to their site to check for firmware updates.

I experienced BSOD's myself, but I was using Vista 64-bit OS. My problems went away (for the most part) upon doing the following:
1. I installed Vista SP1.
2. I do not run the Studio.exe in 32-bit compatibility mode (this won't apply to your situation).
3. I used msconfig to Disable ALL items on the Startup tab (and I mean EVERYTHING: AV ...

Greetings everyone,
I purchased Studio 11 and a PCI-700 capture card about a month ago. I decided to upgrade from a Dazzle Platinum USB device and Studio 10. I am running Windows Vista 64-bit OS with Service Pack 1 installed. I installed SP1 just last weekend (April 20, 2008). Due to the amount of frustration that I experienced trying to ...

And, at this point I'm am very, very much disinclined to spend hours upon hours of testing, trying and reinstalling stuff. I am getting too old and cantankerous for that kind of stuff anymore.
DannyF,
I can relate to that statement. And you should not have to do that.
I have read many posts on this forum where others ...

Hi DannyF,
My experience has been that they worked with me quite diligently and have offered to refund my money. I too experienced SEVERE problems with Studio 11 Ultimate. I did the upgrade from S10 and a Dazzle Plantinum to S11 and a 700 movie board. I was so excited when it arrived only to have my joy dashed by the excruciating ...

jcd,
Please review the forum discussions thoroughly before trying to run S11 on 64-bit Vista. There are MANY problems and in order to remain civil, I would just say that Marc P is not being entirely accurate. Several users have posted here concerning the issues of running S11 on Vista-64. Although S11 MUST be run in 32-bit compatibility mode, ...

Hey Mike,
I just received this response from Pinnacle support: ''The Studio 11 was made as a 32 bit application we have not made a patch yet to fully support the vista 64. Being a 32 bit application this will function properly if you open it in 32 bit compatibility mode. The reason we have a driver for the 64 bit is for you to use the hardware ...

Mike,
I feel your pain. I have been in constant contact with Tech support about my issues as well. To date, nothing has been successful in providing me a workable solution. I did find a VERY GOOD forum post from GlennN in the Rendering and Burning section. Although I thought the post was an absolute gem with its step by step way of presenting ...
