Thank you JonRT but that, by itself, won't help.  The loss of SmartSound support is too big a deal.  I could more economically replace Studio with other editing software than the music library.  I hope there is some way you can convey that to the decision makers.

I remember a fair amount of German from my college days and what struck me was one post that said there was really not much new in 14.  However, I was not clear on whether the poster was an employee, or an outsider with knowledge, or just speculating.

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have any advice to offer.  I'm still plodding along with onboard graphics because my computer doesn't have either an AGP or a PCI-e slot.
