• Re: Which Version of Studio “works” best? – XP based or Vista – I just want the best stable environment

Hello lostsoulal12, What I can tell you is that I have been using my programs using Windows XP and does work pretty good on me. It seems that the specifications you gave on your XP computer seems perfect for Studio 10. What I can recommend to you is to install the latest patch on Studio 10 (which I believe is 10.7). Also you want to check for any ...

  • Re: Cannot edit an imported DVD file

Hello mouln, If you are editing in Studio 11, try to install the latest patch (11.1) to see if it can help you a little better. Also check for any updates on your audio card and video card too. I had this problem too and once I updated the audio card, the problem disappeared. Good Luck.

  • Re: Studio version 12 - can't add existing files

Hello Stelcom, Try deleting the files next to your captured video(s) like scn, vob, etc and either put them in the trash bin or make another file to store them. Next open S12 and let studio detect scenes from whichever video you want to edit and let it finish doing the detection and maybe that will get it to work for your editings. Good luck.

  • Re: Cannot edit an imported DVD file

Hello mouln, Have you tried first editing the video before rendering it (turn off background rendering). After you have finished doing all the editings you want then just turn on the background rendering to render your movie. Rendering will take quite some time due to it is in MPEG and not in AVI. Once you finished rendering it, try making ...

  • Re: Disc Quality too poor

Hello Marc P. I have not tried the Beta Patch yet. I tried to make the same project again and when I checked ''re-encode entire move'' or something like that, the percentage changed to a 95% quality (using automatic quality). I have been having problems when making a disk that I always get a real low quality disc for a video of at least 75 ...

  • Re: Upgrading videocard

Hello tonistein, It all depends on what you want to use your computer for (games, videos, etc). I have a video card which has 320 mb and works quite well with S12U. If you can get a video card for at least a 512 mb you will be doing just fine to edit videos on S12U but am not quite sure for HD videos if you might be needing more than that (since ...

  • Re: Disc Quality too poor

Hello everyone, Its been over a month since I tried making a Disc and the quality comes out too low. I tried making another disc today and came out with only a 12% quality for a video of approx. 70 minutes long. I tried resetting the program, changing the automatic and best quality types, thought the DVD+RW (which has been used several times) was ...

  • Re: Blue exclamation mark in my Project Player screen

Hello Beadle, Sorry that I didn't get to read your comments much earlier but suggest the following: Try to save your projects in your external hard drive as an AVI File ( I usually leave c drive just to render my projects). I have three external hard drives to save my files. Once I am done with them, I just delete them.. If you installed the ...

  • Re: Blue exclamation mark in my Project Player screen

Hello Beadle, Once you delete your video into the trash bin and does not fit in there, you delete the whole video from your computer and not even restoring the computer to an earlier time or date will not get your video back. Try to install the latest patch for Studio 10 which is either 10.7 or 10.8 and see if anything changes with your program. ...

  • Re: Maximum Time Length for DVD Video?

Hello Ragnar, It all depends on the quality you want your videos to be. If you want high quality, you can record up to 70 minutes of video (depending on which Pinnacle software you are using: S9, 10, 11 or 12. The more time you put (over 70 minutes) the quality will start to go down. I always try to do a video no less than 80% quality which may ...
