Now that I am revisiting 3D movies again, has Studio 22 fixed the inability to render Blu-ray full 3D movies that plagued V18 and V19?
Supplementary question: Since a new Studio version is always brought out within weeks of any upgrade, when did V22 come out and when is V23 expected?

I just came back to find the above advice and decided to give it a try.
First, I tried creating a quick 2 minute 3D video just to test it out. Studio refuses to render the video. The first 25% of the job (creating the frames) takes about 5 minutes or so. The second 25% (copying the image to the output file) which normally takes a ...

I notice that less than two months after I paid for Studio 18 that a new version has ben released (had I known I would have waited).
Is there any information on whether this new version correctly authors 3D discs?

saby has already linked the previous discussion on this. Basically, it is a bug as Studio does not correctly render the 3D disc. The disc has to specifically tell the 3D player to play the video in 3D. If it is not told to do this, it plays in 2D (as you have discovered). Studio is not adding the instruction to the ...

edo1946:On exporting to an mpeg 4 file or directly to a disk image the stills come out fine in 3d but the 3d video is only 2d. I have tested short segments of mixed fuji 3d still and movie as well as 2d and the mpeg4's come out fine. However for my 30 minute project i get no 3d video.
Have looked for some switch i turned ...

Dang it! That's the problem. The anaglyph rendering within Studio is disguising the colour. Switch to left or right image only and it's perfect.
Problem solved (as in the was no problem in the first place).

Thanks for your reply.
I stand corrected. PowerDVD will not play the 3D disc in 3D when it is played as a disc. I correctly renders the 3D when it is pointed directly to the 3D video stream file.
I have tried both the multistream and side-by-side 3D discs in several 3D blu-ray players. None automatically picks up ...

Just had a play with it and it seems I did not provide enough information. The title editor works perfectly well when editing a 2D movie. The problem rears its head when trying to add a title to a 3D movie. The red slider has no effect on the colour of the title (though does in the colour sample box. The amount of red in ...

Right you are. It seems that if you just place the clip in the timeline, it will play in 5.1 correctly. But as soon as you adjust anything in the pan control window, the sound immediately changes to 2.0.
So the next question is: If the panner has been touched, how do you restore the audio back to 5.1?

There is yet another bug in Studio 18.6.
When a 3D Blu-ray disc has been authored, the resultant disc cannot be played in 3D. The 3D blu-ray player fails to recognise the disc as being in 3D and consequently only plays it in 2D. I have managed to verify that the video file itself is indeed a full 3D image. The disc seems to be ...
