If i remember correctly, in Studio 9 to Studio 11, when you unlock any plugin via Help > Enter Activation code and you do not see the plugin prior to unlokcing, you get a ''feature not found'' erro.
Only Studio 12 can unlock a key ''prior'' to installing the bonus content. So maybe you need to install the content DVD first.
Anyone else?

Toggle between PAL and NTSC, and try using AMCAPTURE.

If the program captures fine, meaning the video is editable, after restarting the machine, you maybe looking at system resources. And that includes hard drive. Aside from what Mr. Colour said, make sure you have sufficient free space and you have minimal programs running in the background.
