When I edit text, in the tile tool, green lines appear on the screen and the render doe not look sharp. Is this something to do with alpha channel or render options? This is a new thing and I may have inadvertently changed a setting but I can't figure out what.

I think you made the point I was looking for - unless we calibrate the monitor to some kind of standard or norm, the Liquid manual and all it's tools won't help much.
In the TV station we use a scope to check and calibrate cameras and monitors before every show. This ensures a quality broadcast as far as picture quality ...

In one project I fused the 16:9 sequence, then dropped the fuse on 4:3 time line and used properties to fit the width and maintain the aspect ratio. This will work for a 4:3 TV broadcast.
