Probably the wrong forum for this but because you asked here, and keeping in mind that Media Composer was originally made for a different market, and being new at this, anything I say is an observation in changing habits more than it is a technical evaluation.

In case you are not already using this key, customize your editing buttons to show the double arrow --SELECT AFTER PLAYLINE...its a double arrow, staggered, facing right. Don;t know the keyboard for this one but it allows you to select everything after the play line, and then use the keys you mention above to insert space for a title. It saved a ...

That works. Editing with keys can be faster, MComposer works much better with keyboard so I bought the color coded avid key board. Saves time when you get the hang of it.

LewS:Sounds like your installation is not correct. See if this file exists:
c:\program files\pinnacle\shared files\pixie\PixieUnlockDisplay.html
if you click on that file it should open your internet browser and show you the activation key. Is it there and does it do that?

Slide Clip toggle is very good for this --makes a frame by frame adjustment easy - I use this a lot for alignment of wave forms for timing to music or matching tracks from different cameras.

I have a brand new machine, all new install of Liquid. The primary drive is partitioned Boot 1 (c) is Media Composer Trial version, Boot 2 (D) is Liquid. XP is on both boots. There is anopther partition (3rd boot) for later version of windows but nothing installed there other than windows.

Are you seeing flickering on the monitor through the pro bob or is it just the output file? I am bringing my new system up to speed and the old external tv/monitor flickers like crazy, but the two computer monitors are fine.
