and a similar test with Liquid with W7 64 bits shows that the described 2 gig usage limit is correct
But I have seen L7 using more than 2G with the /L switch in Vista64 - so I would expect it to do the same with W7 64
Having said that, it may not have been a huge advantage - I remember it actually used between 2 and 2.5, and ...

If you set your timeline up to your export format it will render as many slices simultaneously as you have cores. I have used this technique to GREATLY reduce my rendering times for SDE projects. If you try this on a quad core and it doesn't use most of the processor then you need to look for other data bottle necks in your system. ...

I spent many hours setting it up and testing it to make sure I was within good temperature ranges, I modified the airflow to the box, added better cooling fans and a bunch of other stuff. And I actually flattened the top of my CPU and polished it to get better heat transfer.
That was fun - for me. Does it get ...

I have an external USB backup drive. Originally copied all my media to it using Vista 64. When I try to reload from it using Windows 7, windows 7 only sees part of the drive - doesn't see the folder holding the media files.
Vista can still read them though. Means I can't completely switch to Windows 7 yet.
It's a Simpletech 1 TB drive
