John, excuse for asking in case I have missed some info, you aren´t happening to use a firewire connection with Via chipset or the fw connection on the bob ?

John, this could be a file size limit, could you check the size of the files that you have succeded to capture, are you maybe capturing to a FAT 32 filesys disc ?

FWIW, Microsoft Expression Encoder is able to use the Pro Bob, also for things like live transmissions, this on an XP sys of course...

Boris continium complete alone costs about $2K. The one in mc can be used as stand alone meaning that you can use it with any nle app.
This however needs some correction, BCC ( = Boris Continium Complete ) is a filter, well actually a lot lot of filters created to be able to use together with different kind of editing apps like Media ...

To those of you not planning to do the upgrade I would give you the advice to think about it one more time.
Even if you never ever are going to use Media Composer for editing ( that might change some day in the future .. ) you are still editors-
Into the bundle brought together with Media composer is Sorenson Squeeze and Avid Dvd, stand ...
