almost40_3girls:
The other apps to use is not an option right now. I am saving all spare pennies to get the MC4 upgrade and all it's extra goodies.
Avid Dvd is included into the bundle, you don´t need Liquid for Dvd creation any longer.

This was possible in the past, new codecs have made it a little more difficult, I have the same error as you witth the updated versions of Media Composer.
One way that will work with Liquid is to use tape export - import if you have to use Liquid for Dvd creation, on the other hand, there are lots of good, much more updated Dvd creating ...

You have, most likely, updated to WMP 11 after your initial install of Liquid and cause of that, Liquid is looking in the uncorrect folder for the codecs.
An install of the full 7,2 file over the old app will set the shortcuts to the correct places.

Hope that it will give you what you want, please tell how it worked out if you have some time

Hi Lars, do a try using the classical 2D editor for upscaling your Sd clips to HDV and use an uncompressed render codec or Smetvids 160 intra when rendering.
Export to a Hd Avi file from that rendered project and use that file into Dvdit Pro HD.
Good luck

The breakoout box letting you watch HD in Media Composer on a third screen is the mojo DX, quite expensive but is also a part of your editing system and helps your computer in other ways so it is not just for previewing and capturing.
I have lived with having no third screen HD previewing in Liquid since I switched to V64, Media Composer is ...

Dave, have you seen my little two machine studio, with an XP machine, the Liquid Pro bob, a V 64 machine and the Canopus bob, some switches and a big wallscreen for previewing...

dnsing:mjoinarn, does the Canopus box also give you an output from the timeline for audio and video? And what is the Canopus model number? Thanks, Dave
Yes Dave , it works both ways, I started using it many years ago when I began using Vista 64 as OS and my Liquid Pro bob stopped working cause the lack of 64 bits drivers.
The version I use is ...

Sam the Sham: mjolnarn:
joe m:Don't hold me to this... but, I do believe that some MC users are using the Canopus converters... .
Correct, works both ways and also with AE
For what it's worth, I can't get my Canopus ADVC 300 to work with MC 4.05, Windows 7 pro 32 see's it, Movie maker see's it and Liquid see's it just fine.
Dan, we ...
