Considering the 1d Mk111 was $3700 body only I suspect you can buy a pretty good video camera for the same price as this thing equipped with lens.

I don't think I would buy a camera because of Liquid integration. I would just buy the best camera and right now if I was looking for new one it would be the Sony PMW-EX3, or EX1 if the price was right. The only thing I don't like about these cameras is the media is so expensive.
