From all i have seen in CS4, it is a very compelling upgrade, this release focus for cs4 was stability and workflow and i think they did a good job with it.

might as well give my 2 cents. keep in mind when upgrading to MC that you will need to get a Nvidia Gfx card. While the 'consumer' cards will somewhat work, you will need a good quadro card if you want a somewhat supported system. no you dont need to setup express correctly..basically all you need is the contents of the email and the address to send that to. What you do is fill in some dummy info when the setup box comes up for outlook express..after you go through that, a box will pop up which will contain the address you need to send the email to in the 'To' field and the ...

you can use a proxy..the location is determined by your ip address.

I authored a dvd on the timeline and used the built in simulater to go through the menu's but when i burn it to disk, the menu's dont seem to work. I cannot even skip the chapters. Last time i authored a dvd was before the dx10 patch which had worked fine. Any ideas?

After Effects gives you maximum flexiblity. You can do fair amount of montage type stuff using Liquid and photoshop. I used BluffTitler to do my last montage which turned out ok.

hrmm..good rant but heres the deal. Dont expect any patches. If Liquid doesnt meet your needs , then you will just have to cut your losses and move to something that does.

good to see some resellers doing their best. I had a conversation with a reseller on my part of the world and he mentioned that all the resellers are considering boycotting avid products. Not sure what Avid did to peeve them off but seems like i wont be seeing the 1000 doller credit Avid is offerring for migration to MC.

all 4 cores on my machine are busy rendering, using up to 90% cpu. Thats a good sign
