The obsession to shoot video at 28mbps or 40mbps is a not unlike the quest for more megapixels. In truth, 5mbps might be quite fine for some scenes. 17mbps is (or was) the benchmark for lots of AVCHD at the HQ standard. Very good HD video can be shoot using 1440x1080 60i at only 9mbps, and be much easier to edit.
Addition ...

They also have a YT channel. They appear to use AMC, or maybe FCP.
As for AS, you may be the ''one and only.'' The PS Spanish forum has participants from Spain or parts the W. Hemisphere, but no signs of any ticos. One reason might be the absence of ...

PS has allowed creation of AVCHD-DVD discs since version 11.1. Explore the disc creation format options carefully.
AVCHD-DVD discs utilize ordinary 4.7GB SL or 8.5GB DL DVD media. You can burn them with an ordinary red laster DVD drive / burner. However, you CAN NOT play them on a TV with a traditional DVD player. You'd ...

Where did you read or hear that you could export edited video to the SDHC card and use the camera as the player? I don't believe Panasonic manuals suggest that approach.
The only way to put edited video on an SDHC card, insert the card in a camera, and have the camera play the edited file, is to mimmic the file structure of ...

Occasionally, I need to delete AUX files and do BR over again from scratch. If an HD project timeline is long, and there are lots of effects that need BR, this can take a number of hours.
My trouble is that the BR is apt to stop. Studio becomes inoperative, so I have to use Task Manager to close, and then relaunch. ...

I encountered this problem too, a while back, which is why I use a separate sound recorder to capture narration or voiceover. I record separate clips in PCM/WAV or WMA, then drag them to a vacant track when editing.
But I still have a problem to obtain proper volume settings. There is a nagging task to ''toy'' with ...

All this is brand-specific, and only the firmware disclosure will tell you exactly what it's supposed to do.
The adage that, ''if it ain't broke, don't fix it'' may not always be true, but is there something your player won't do that you wish it would? Are there any discs where you see flickering or pixelation? Does the firmware offer ...

Holsie: ... using a Mac and FC Express and to say I'm impressed with this rig is an understatement. The 5D video, with any type of correction, simply flies along.
What Mac specs? Does FCE import the 5D files in the native h.264 MOV state? 40mbps? Was your output also in the same format and bitrate? Some FC workflows ...

Uninstall PS. Then reinstall. Make sure you have the final PS 12.1 patch, since the 12.0 version was not importing some AVCHD AC3 sound files properly, and one patch expanded the video file type support for certain MOV formats becoming common in late 2008.
What was wrong with your former sound card? Plan C might be to revert to ...

It's all a question of learning to designate your file and folder locations manually, based on your hard drive addresses and folder structures. Once named or designated, you cannot change the drive port locations or video directory and file locations arbitrarily, or Studio will look for them at a prior location and fail to do so. So ...
