Are you certain you attempted export to HDV MPEG2? FCP can certainly import that. The latest versions or add-ons allow for import of AVCHD or MOV h.264 too. Worst case, your friend might need to convert HDV MPEG2 to AIC. QuickTime MOV is definitely the preferred source and export codec for older FCP or iMovie, but it's ...

colandee:
Yes, using Studio 9. I did reduce the hd to a and avi through a program called Axara so that I could edit it in Stdio 9. The quality however is worse then the footage on the older camera, the digital tape. I would be happy if I could just get it to look sharp and not as if it has a filter effect on! Has it got something to do with the ...

Another reason might be if you change the location where you instruct Studio to put the render files, or if an external drive letter has changed because you moved it, or if it got shut off or disconnected while working on a project. Of course, if you add new effects to clips, they must re-render. If the project settings have changed, ...

Vadim Panov: If I spend $200 and get 2 times faster - fine. If I spend $700 and get 3 times faster - it isn't fine.
Raw speed matters less than avoidance of hangs or crashes. If an extra $700 spares you countless occasions where you must exit the program and re-launch a large project, the money is well spent indeed.

The CS5 After Effects tool called ''Puppet'' allows one to animate an overlay image. The user can designate joints on any object and then key-frame movements. Thus, you can make it look as though a person waves a hand, or just about anyty other 2d motion. As the name implies, you can make a doll appear to be alive or walk around ...

During 2012, Android and iPad videos and applications will become more prevalent. 4-core tablets will also be able to do more editing than the feeble predecessors. Android Movie Studio, which is an app for the Asus, Samsung, Acer, Sony, or Toshiba tablets that use the Honeycomb and forthcoming ICS Andoid OS, might be able to ...

martyredwhitman: Well, after changing the DEP, and replacing the sound graphics card with a GeForce 7900 GT/OC, still no difference.
Sorry if I've missed something in the thread, but isn't a GF 7900 a five year-old GPU? The core clock speed is rather high, but the 256 MB memory is a bit low for display of heavy AVCHD ...

ghuck:Good luck with it, it actually works well,
Do the 5 channels survive export to Blu-ray? During 2010, a PS 14 user, who imported music to use in rear channels, reported that he perceived the rear channels when exporting to standard DVD, but not when he exported the same project to Blu-ray.

Other reviews written by the author, Douglas Dixon, are posted here.
He has reviewed several products. Which does he actually use or prefer?
I can't find any videos posted in his name anywhere.
BTW, he classifies Sony Vegas Movie Studio as ''Professional-quality video editing & disc authoring.'' That sort of parsing ...

Has the author, Douglas Dixon, posted any videos created with AS? Is it the same D. Dixon whose résumé appears here?
It takes perhaps 80 hours of learning and experimentation to test and review an editing product seriously. The person doing the tests would have to know at least two other NLEs thoroughly and have created fairly ...
