• Re: ScoreFitter rendering, What does it do ?

Does One Man Band allow you to export in a file format other than mid? A Midi composer would be compatible with Studio, provided the composing software allows export to a WAV, WMA, or MP3 format that Studio's music browser can recognize and import. Studio's sound file browser will NOT recognize or import a midi file. You can ...

  • Re: 720p AVI to single layer DVD in HD - Is it possible?

Both Studio 12.1 and 14 can handle 720p AVI. I strongly suspect your PC could edit the files, in moderate quantities and with moderate effects, but become slow as the timeline grows. To prevent project slowdowns or fatigue, you could export the intermediate work to HDV-MPEG 720p files, and then import the edited files into a final ...

  • Re: Mixing videos, also works in editor but not in DVD

Up until the last Studio 12.1 patch, there was some tendency for it to corrupt VOB files imported from some DVDs. Often the first part of the file would be OK, but then be followed by dead intervals and hangs, or the total size would appear to be twice the real size. The workaround was to convert the VOB files to MPG by other means, whether ...

  • Re: Blu-ray converting software

When did ''ripping'' of copyrighted BDs become legal? When was any special software needed to copy an unprotected personal disc?

  • Re: Export Failure (Render Error)

If the export always fails on the first clip, no matter what the clip is, that suggests your PC has inadequate specs. If it can do tiny projects, but fails with larger ones, use of the 1920x1080i AVCHD format with a ''mere'' 2.4 ghz core 2 duo model may be the reason. What are your PC specs? Very likely, you have ...

  • Re: AAAUUGGGHH!! Need fix for Pinnacle 12 Ultimate export error rendering and burning !!?

carlitobetito: Stupid, stupid stupid!!! This is the most user-unfriendly software I've ever seen! Have you tried Final Cut, CS4, or Vegas? They are all much harder. Or Corel or PD8? They are comparable, but different, and not necessarily easier. Windows Movie Maker is an option too. ...

  • Re: W7 Problem Steps Recorder

David Hunt: On completion a zip file is created, the contents of which can be opened for inspection or e-mailed. Interesting. Can the file contents be read by anyone, whether using Vista or XP, or is a special W& ''reader'' utility requried? Must one re-enact the steps that lead to trouble, or can the PSR operate in the ...

  • Re: not sure what to use for my system

You don't specify what sort of video you want to capture. Your system is certainly strong enough to capture streams of DV AVI or HDV video from tape. As others point out, you need only the right USB-2 or firewire connections. Your system is also strong enough for AVCHD, which need not be captured in live streams at all. You can ...

  • Re: Samsung AVCHD H.265 support

Did you learn if any other products support the Samsung files without prior conversion? Does Samsung bundle any NLE with the devices? I have similar wonderings about the various h.264 files created with the Casio models, whether the ultra-fast 1000 fps small format ones or the 30p and 60p 1920x1080 ones.

As for the interface, little English proficiency is required. Cinema in English ...
