Strat, Dave,Thanks!! I had a lot of fun with this project and learned some more about Liquid in the process.

Thanks, John!No stock footage was used...These are old 16MM and Super 8MM films, circa 1975-76 when I was at NYU. So, you're seeing New York City à l'époque de ma jeunesse. The young man is me. The old man is me.Oh yeah - and the still photos are all my ancestors - except for Jimmy Cagney, who's shown dancing with my great-aunt Mae, ...

Baby Boomer Bell Curve - Andy Baum
Also viewable on You Tube, albeit heavily compressed and with a monaural audio track.

Getting back to Fred's original post, a decidedly old-fashioned way of ensuring multi-cam sync would be to use clapsticks to slate the head. Of course, this only works if the sticks are visible from all camera angles, the location is sufficiently well-lit and the act of slating doesn't interfere with the event.

Disclaimer: Two kids in college, a day job unrelated to video/graphic arts - in reality I cannot monetarily justify either offer. I have Liquid 7.2 on a system that is running smoothly. That works for me.
However...
My background is in audio post (1970s/80s). I currently use Ableton Live Suite as a DAW both for audio sweetening of projects ...

David Clarke's preceeding post is exactly in line with what I heard from Charlie Mascari, who is a Segment Marketing Manager for Content Production at Avid.
I spoke to Charlie at the ''New Thinking'' event last week. One of his main concerns was that Liquid users who are contemplating an upgrade to MC soft need ...

LewS:
It looks like those who attended finally have some appreciation of the market that Avid plays in and a different perspective on what professional editing is all about.
Prior to attending I had an hour or two to kill. I stopped by Magno Sound & Video (where I worked 20-30 years ago) to visit my cousin. I was struck by how things have ...
