Maybe get a second camera on a tripod and have it filming the scoreboard and record/pause when you record/pause each play on your main camera.
I film High School football games and after every play I record the scoreboard for a second. It will give the head on your tripod a workout but if you have a good one it will make it much easier.

I do HS Football games and also make our players college recruitment videos. Is there a way or plugin somewhere to take a clip (about 12sec at most) and slow it down for a better view and have it render in the final project in slow motion?

Tried both creating a title overlay and using a standard one from the title select screen.
Both edit fine and show up in the clip....until you hit play, then I get a black screen with an ! and nothing for the 4 seconds the title is supposed to play then the video comes on and plays fine.

I should also add that when it comes time to pull out the plays the kids want on their college recruitment dvds, I will most definitely be using S12 to do my effects, transitions and editing. Nero is seriously lacking in those aspects of editing...

Nero took almost 4min.
Granted Nero doesn't have the transitions and cool effects pinnacle does, but to ...

I am looking at upgrading my current system (see sig) to an Intel D5400XS, 8gb DDR2 667 FBDIMMs and 2 E5420 2.5ghz Xeon processors and am wondering if Studio can make use of the extra CPUs. I would hate to spend $1400 on MoBo, Ram and CPUs if Studio won't even utilize the added horsepower.

I am getting ready to build this years video editing system for the high school football team I volunteer filming for and am considering using Vista 64bit as the O/S.
System will have a Intel DP35DPM motherboard, Q6600 processor, 4gb DDR2 6400, 1 Raptor 150 hd for O/S and Rendering, 750gb SATA for storage, ATI 2600 HD w/512mb ram and will ...

I was having all kinds of problems with editing even with a quad core. A lot of the same issues the OP is having. After moving stuff around, adding extra drives, formatting, reloading, changing more stuff around reloading, etc. This was the best, most stable and efficient config I could come up with. (what I said in my previous ...

I have a machine I just put together with an 8800 GT 512mb card and I don't have any issues with it.
Here are a few tricks that I have come up with in the 6mos I have been editing and rendering AVCHD footage.
ALL my video files from the SDHC card are kept on a single 500gb hard drive that is NOT the rendering drive. I have it set up as G:
I ...
