I had the same thing happen awhile ago, it turned out that my project was saving into an external hard drive so there was a fair amount of ''lag'' followed by ''not responding''
I forget what the error message was now but it involved a lot of numbers and letters ie ''error at 32r56f654'' etc
I swapped the project to the internal drive and it ...

Tried all of the suggestions but still couldn't get the file(s) to open... i found it easier just to redo the project which has turned out very well.

That certainly would explain a lot so i'll try re linking the files over the week end and let you know how it went.

try to open the stx file and it jumps to a dialog box which shows the film strip icons (stx files are below it.)
When i select either the stx file or filmstrip type file from that dialog box it tells me that i dont have permission to open it.
I then cancel it out and it tries to load but then returns an error that it can't find ...

Been awhile since i was here last but need some help.

used to have S10 installed on my PC but bought a new one and loaded S15
onto it. I still have all the files from s10 on an external drive but
the actual program was not reinstalled with my new PC.
I tried to open the S10 file on S15 but it just won't do it. Any help or ...

I think this message indicates that the sender is bored, or has run out of things to do with his editing suite, personally I have so many unedited tapes, that my problem is finding the time to do the things I want with them.
