Yes the latest update 11.1.2 does support Pinnacle Video Transfer files.

Actually you might be interested in the new studio 11 version which was released these days (11.1.2) which will now support H264 files captured with Pinnacle Video Transfer.

One thing you have to keep in mind is: apple only designed the itunes library and the ipods database to be one directional..
that means, that captured video will not automatically be transfered to the itunes library once you synchronise. Per default, pinnacle video transfer is deactivating some of the sync options of the ipod. the reason for this ...

The dolby downmix option will only be available for the Pinnacle Server Software (which can only be used under XP) I am afraid.

Which operating system are you exactly using? Yes, I think thats exactly the same but maybe we should add a note in our FAQ that naming conventions can slightly change.

Normally if the sound is out of sync,there might be two reasons:
1. Your VHS tape is quite old or has lost some of its sync signal. To exclude this possibility, I would just attach a DVD Player to the PVT device and capture a few minutes. If thats in sync, its very likely your VHS tape cannot provide the necessary signals anymore for ...

actually thats not entirely true. Yes, you will have to reformat your ipod to fat32, but No, you wont need a PC to do that. There is quite an easy way to achieve the same under the Mac Operating system.

The operating system is only important for the server software, not the firmware itself.
We are recommending Mediaplayer 11 to be used a UPNP server software as documented in the manual if you have issues with swisscenter
