You guys are my heroes!!! I love a simple fix!  I plugged it in to the back panel and it seems to be working fine.  WooHoo!!!!!!

While capturing, it runs fine for a little while then you hear the sound that tells when you add or take away a peripheral device from your computer.  It stops the capture and immediately the sound happens again to show that it found the camera again.  It just keeps losing and finding the connection.  Is this a problem with ...

Last year I recorded a dance recital and I had to use 2 dvd's to fit the whole show.  Please tell me if I should buy a specific kind of blank dvd.  I know I can truncate to make the file smaller but doesn't that really mess with the quality?  The whole show is about 2 1/2 hours long. THANKS
