• Re: Speed > 500%

Yep. My 5-year-old PC couldn't handle the 1-second scenes. ...at least not that many. I re-created the same project with 2-second scenes and was able to eke out a rendered file even though I added a chroma-keyed section! Here it is... http://youtu.be/iAHX2dbXtjw All of the high-speed segments are ...

  • Re: Speed > 500%

I've used that technique (render at 5x speed, then re-render at 5x speed again) on previous projects using an SD DV camera, but for some reason I can't do that any longer using my HD camera:(. I've got another thread looking for advice on that ...

  • Re: Pinnacle HD v15 Struggles Editing .MOV Files It Has Rendered Already

Sorry 'bout that. I just filled out my profile. I'm running a 5-year-old machine, but it doesn't have any issues chewing through most 1080p projects. Here are the specs... ASUS P5N-D Mobo, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 4GB Corsair 6400 RAM, Corsair 750W PSU, GeForce GTS250 1GB GPU, 250GB System Drive, 250GB ...

  • Re: Speed > 500%

Understood... There's no limit to how FAST a video can be made using this techniques. However, the SLOWEST (albeit still fast) speed achievable using this technique is 30x. This, because the lowest allowable scene subdivision is 1 second, and the lowest allowable scene duration is 1 frame. Speeds between >5x and ...

  • Re: Better Speed/Time Lapse Options

Wow! Genius! Thank you so much! I started playing around with this technique and got good results using the suggested 2 second scene length with 1 frame duration. I continued testing to see what speeds I could achieve using this technique. Here's what I found... 1 second scene length + 1 frame scene duration = 30x speed.2 second ...

  • Speed > 500%

Hey Gang, I'd like to speed up a clip faster than the 500% allowed by Pinnacle v15. The only way I can think of achieving this is to... 1.) Render the clip at 500% speed, then... 2.) re-render at 500% again, resulting in 1000% speed. Is there an easier 1-step method for increasing speed beyond ...

  • Pinnacle HD v15 Struggles Editing .MOV Files It Has Rendered Already

Hey Gang, Lately I've been shooting primarily with a Contour Roam camera in 1080p mode. This camera creates H264 .MOV files. I edit in Pinnacle HD v15 without any issues, and render my videos to the HD1080p .MOV option in Pinnacle's ''Make Movie'' interface. The finished product looks great! However... If I try ...
