• Re: Re:Editing Fuji Finepix 3D movies in Studio - here's how

Hi Jacques, I misunderstood you. I thought you meant your friend had written a fuji-related 'toolbox' (plugin) for these programs. I did not realise that he was the author of SPM and SMM themselves. Please tell him how much his efforts are appreciated out here.

saby:Vague ? Yes, I think it must be. I visit several enthusiast movie forums (non-product related) and this Fuji-AVI/Studio problem has come up several times over the past 2-3 years without resolution. The usual advice is to move over (down?) to Magix (yikes!). I have just seen a post on the 3D forum here from some time ago, where I see ...

Hi Jacques, Well, there's a revelation! I spent hours searching the User Guide looking for advice like this - but I suppose I didn't ask it the right questions. Now I know the answer, I have looked at the UG again and see that there are vague references to adjustments and corrections that can be made to the library database which was not an ...

  • Re: So, where is all the love for 3D?

I have now had time to play with the W3, and produced some stunning 3D slideshows with Studio, but handling the Fuji 3D movie files was another story. However, I have now overcome this and added THIS POST in the 3D Forum detailing how to do it.

  • Editing Fuji Finepix 3D movies in Studio - here's how

I recently bought a second-hand Finepix W3 camera to experiment with creating 3D slide-shows and movies in Studio20. Using the stills (.MPO) was not a problem, as Studio understood the format, but using the movies (.AVI) it produces was a different story. This is because the L/R channels are stored in the AVI as two separate streams. In fact I ...

  • Re: So, where is all the love for 3D?

Returning to this thread has renewed my interest in 3D, especially since I have the kind of TV that is capable of doing it justice. I have never tried to use Studio for any stereo editing, so I browsed the net to look for some example MPO files so that I could play around with it. I came up with THIS SITE which has some superb material, and ...

  • Re: So, where is all the love for 3D?

saby:Almost OT : did you have a look at 360° feature in PS20 ? Still a few bugs already escalated to Corel, but funny feature. I have experimented with producing 'spherical' stills using multiple images taken on my Pan TZ70, and viewed them in custom players on PC. There are a few online viewers that can do that too. Estate Agents (Realtors?) ...

  • Re: So, where is all the love for 3D?

saby:My point of vue : one reason of this unsuccess is the global poor quality of movies offer. Not enough good 3D movies were produced. I saw too many 3D movies released where 3D was a shame. If there is no action, no movement in the image, 3D is useless. Some at Hollywood killed the goose that lays golden eggs because they tried to make easy ...

  • Re: So, where is all the love for 3D?

I know this thread is almost 5 years old, and I admit to contributing slightly neutral posts in it about the subject way back then, but I would like to rekindle the subject again in the light of personal experience as an adoptive consumer over the last (nearly) 3 years. Firstly let me say that 3D still-photography has been a topic of interest in ...
