• Re: Trouble editing with previous scenes bleeding/blinking into older scenes

madsteelhead: saby:It smells a graphics card (driver ?) issue. Thanks Saby... I've edited 7 or 8 videos without having this problem. I'm a beginner with all this stuff. what do I need to know about graphic cards? Do they go out slowly? The only difference from my previous videos is with the raw video source. All my older videos ...

  • Re: ST21.5ult- export to 4k file blowing up ( simply not finishing w/ no error msg)

One possibility for the export problems is the IMO unwise choice of ''Always re-encode entire movie'' / ''render completely before export'' - those settings force Studio to create temporary render files prior to performing the bulk of the export; it could be failing while creating those files or while trying to use them in the final output Using ...

  • Re: How to remove an image from a layer within a title.

jrhmovies:I want to delete (disassociate) the images with the layers so they are blank. As others have observed - there is no direct equivalent of the trashcan to remove an image that was dragged to the title's background. But you can easily get rid of the image in a rectangle shape layer by going back to a solid or gradient colour fill. The same ...

  • Re: Re:Aspect ratio problems with PS22

saby: City44:Native format is 720x576, having a pixel aspect of 1:1.067.There must be a typo here.IMO no typo - maybe an unusual way of expressing the pixel aspect ratio... For standard-defimition PAL DV (and also MPEG-2 from DVDs etc.)4:3 aspect ratio - the pixel aspect ratio (width / height) is 16/15 (1.06666)16:9 aspect ratio - the pixel ...

  • Re: pinnacle squished images on video!

The system diagnostic can only tell you about Windows in it's ''current state'' (that system files and important system settings are ''as expected'' - not currupted or missing); it cannot tell you about bugs etc. And what did the ''reliability report'' say about Studio - did it offer anytthing genuinely useful or simply state that it was ...

  • Re: Giving up on 22 ultimate

The GTX1060 is IMO a decent mid-range card and ought to work fine with Studio for editing video using both H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) as it has the hardware support for both. One possible cause of trouble is the graphic driver - might possibly need update (or even rolling back to a prior version as a troubleshooting step). FYI the current ...

  • Re: Re:Setting the thumbnail for an Exported MP4 file

saby:I don't know if it's possible to modify this thumbnail, but for sure, that's not something you can do inside Studio.Certainly not possible in Studio or in the Windows File Explorer itself. But for MP4 video files it's apparently possible to set metadata ''tags'' akin to the ''cover artwork'' of an MP3 audio file. MP3tag is one program that ...

  • Re: Giving up on 22 ultimate

cjwonder:After many attempts at trying to work with 22 Ultimate I've decided to go back to 21 and 20I've had the opposite experience; Studio 20 and 21 didn't work particularly well here (editing performance degraded over time or for large projects) and I went back to 19. But 22 (with 22.1 and 22.2 patches) has been pretty well behaved If you ...

  • Re: pinnacle squished images on video!

saby: anon125:experience has shown that updating windows 7 automatically has problems.I never ever encountered any problem letting Windows update on Automatic.Same here (and now, running Windows 10 Home I don't have a vast amount of choice over when to install updates...). Studio 12 & 14 are both running fine here; I still use Studio 14 a lot ...

  • Re: pinnacle squished images on video!

anon125:So called important updates are just for security while on the internet. It's not all security updates - in amongst them are some that address performance, stability and application compatibility issues. So by not updating at all you are missing out on those. And IMO you should also consider letting Windows Update download and install ...
