• Importing from iPhone 6

Using Studio 19, recently tried to import video from my iPhone 6. The importer says it finds no video on the phone, however, which seems odd. The files are 1080p/60 in .mov format. I assume these are in MP4 format. Can I just copy them to my PC, change the file extension to .mp4, and then import those files, or is something else at the root of my ...

  • Re: Photo Size on Timeline

gjslaw: aet3:If in Paintshop Pro, I increase the picture size, will that not help fill the screen in Studio - or is this wishful thinking !!!!! I'm afraid it's wishful thinking. You can't fit a round peg into a square hole. You will need to crop the image to a 16:9 ratio. BTW, if my calculations are correct, your current ...

What about Studio 16 Ultimate, which also comes with Red Giant effects?

culpanr: mdriggs:Thanks, but I'm putting a caption under it. Can I do that outside the title editor?Put the caption on the next track as a title having a transparent background (trying to avoid having the title editor resize the image). As a suggestion, try a tiny 2-track project with just the resized still image + the title caption; export it ...

  • Re: PS19U is running desperately slowly

culpanr: mdriggs:It's very weird that turning on CUDA support in a system with an ATI card changes CPU utilization. My best guess for that is that, having tried and failed to use Cuda, Studio automatically tries Intel without telling you (and that will always work, evern if only using the software libraries). Not sure whether, if that really is ...

jjn: mdriggs:The ''motherboard SVGA driver'' is the Intel HD Graphics driver for the CPU's built-in GPU. (A common generic term for graphic-adapter drivers is ''SVGA driver.'') Then explain this: It's just a difference in how Windows Device Manager names the device and how his MSI motherboard utility names it. It's the same device. The only ...

  • Re: PS19U is running desperately slowly

culpanr:The driver details screen-grab suggests to me that the up-to-date Intel graphics driver may have come from Windows Update...if you have got Windows running on its default hardware installation settings it would have been keeping other device drivers up to date too. My experience with Windows Update has been that it's very spotty about ...

  • Re: PS19U is running desperately slowly

culpanr: mdriggs:The fact that CPU usage declines significantly when either hardware-acceleration setting is selected suggests that the GPU is picking up some of the load in that case, even if the times get slightly worse. Puzzling that either of those settings would work with an ATI card, however, never mind both, and that the results would be ...
