• Re: Shift CTRL doesn't seem to do anything for me?

Hmmm. I was not the first in that thread to use the word clunky. In any case, clunky, in this sense, simply means ''awkward''. Myself and the OP in that thread were both finding S22 ''awkward'' to use. I suspect you do not have a full command of the English language or perhaps you simply misunderstood my meaning. I especially regret your ...

  • Re: Giving up on 22 ultimate

As of today I have 22.2 but I've not used it yet. I've said in another thread that the changelog mentions a fix for the black out after a transition.

''Seems more a PEBCAK than real bugs '' Are you replying to me here? Yes, certainly in some cases it's down to me but only because I'm on a huge learning curve. However, I'm not sure which coment you are referring to (if indeed you do mean me)? Which ''bug'' (or not) is it that you think is down to my ignorance? The transition ''issues'' ...

  • Transition Reverse Not Working and other issues.

This is in response to TonyP in different (non-related) thread asking me to be specific about this topic and some other off topic issues. Just to make clear what I was moaning about... Many of the HFX transitions do not work in reverse, which they did in older versions of Studio (I had S12 and backwards). This applies to about 90% of all HFX ...

  • Re: Shift CTRL doesn't seem to do anything for me?

Sigh! I'd tried placing the scrubber then pressing ctrl shift. I'd tried holding the mouse button then pressing ctrl shift. But I never pressed ctrl shift THEN clicked the mouse. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks.

  • Re: Studio 22 resize timeline with right-click not working

WOW! How bizarre. You are spot on (again). No, it was not check marked. But how did it become uncheck marked?? I've not been in that menu since I first setup S22 about 2 months ago. Weird. Thank you.

  • Shift CTRL doesn't seem to do anything for me?

In a tutorial that I just watched - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-fK1W9lEzY&feature=youtu.be - the keys Shift Ctrl were apparently used to select everything on the timeline to the right of the edit point. How is this done? If I place the scrubber at the start of a clip (or anywhere else) and press Shift then Ctrl or Ctrl then Shift or ...

  • Re: Giving up on 22 ultimate

Yes, definitely ''different'' but not always in a good way and many changes are bewildering. Like they've gone out of their way to make it harder to do simple tasks. For instance, at the end of that tutorial Pinnacle is urged to bring back the in-sync functionality for inserting transitions that existed in Studio v1 in 1999 !!!! and right ...

  • Studio 22 resize timeline with right-click not working

So, in the subject of ''what has mysteriously changed today in S22'' I suddenly find I cannot right-click the timeline ''ruler'' to get the menu that allows me to choose specific amount of timeline display - or show entire project. I right-click and nothing happens. All other right-click menus are working and I can still change the timeline size; ...

  • Re: Giving up on 22 ultimate

''Clunky'' is a very good description. I thought it was just me. I've jumped from PS12 (after 10 years use) to PS22 and I have tons of trouble doing simple tasks that 12 did so very well. Of course 22 can do a lot of things that were not possible in 12 but somebody reinvented the wheel on a lot of simple stuff (like working with transitions and ...
