• Re: 7 Years of disappointment

Well I've owned 8 of the 16 (?) versions of Pinnacle Studio going back to v1 in 1999. I've used it on many different versions of Windows from 98 to 10. While I have recently moaned quite a bit about certain functions in S22 that I don't like, I can honestly say I have never had a major problem with any version of the program continually ...

  • Re: Latest v22 patch

Came here to ask same question. Moreover, how did this patch get downloaded? I have not opened Studio 22 today but found the patch purely by chance in a subfolder of my default Downloads folder. It was dated just 3 minutes earlier! Only saw it because I was clearing out my Downloads folder, otherwise may not have found it for months! ...

  • Re: Effect to keep an object centralised?

Traveller:If the clip is long enough and the centralised sections are fairly consistent you may be able to make a cut where the wandering starts and again where it ends ends and delete that portion (may only be a few frames). Close the Gap. If necessary, adding a short fade may smooth the join where the portion is removed. ...

  • Effect to keep an object centralised?

My scenario: I have a clip of a distant building (about 1 mile away) which I zoomed into by about 20x. Because my camera was hand-held on a breezy day I struggled to keep the building centralised. The scene is not ''shaky'' because my camera has very good stabilization but the building which is supposed to be in the centre wavers left and right ...

  • Re: Upgrade Question (from 21 to 22 Ultimate)

The whole S22 ''upgrade'' thing is a puzzle to me. I previously used Studio 12 Ultimate UPGRADE which was purchased in 2008/9. It needed my Studio 11 Ultimate FULL disc to be inserted during installation. Years earlier I bought Studio 9 UPGRADE which needed my serial key from S7 FULL. When I bought Studio 22 Ultimate I clicked the offer to ...

  • Re: Re:Continuous Audio Fade

saby:You can't do it in PS22 the way you were used to do it in PS15. Export the audio of these 6 parts, re-import this audio and set the fade to this single clip. OK, thanks for the reply. I guess it's another item to add to the ''clunky'' list!

  • Continuous Audio Fade

I'm trying to fade out some sound on the detached audio track. Although the audio all comes from the same source I have editied this audio to remove wind - by cutting out the wind and filling the gap with ''no wind'' (copied and pasted from elsewhere in the same audio clip). So my audio is still continuous (no gaps) but it is now split into about ...

  • Re: Where are the rendered and project files in S22 stored and when/how do they get removed?

jjn:The Control Panel/Storage locations has a Delete render files option. Ah! That's where it is. Thank you for that and the other info regarding scratch files.

  • Re: Syncing clips using Trim with Shift+T or Shift+click

jjn:The second part of you post - having to have all the tracks occupied - is definitely a bug. If there are empty tracks, Shift Click doesn't work. I have reported it. I tend to delete unused tracks rather than put a place holder on the them. Yes, I am getting into the habbit of deleting the empty tracks. It doesn't come naturally though ...

  • Where are the rendered and project files in S22 stored and when/how do they get removed?

In Studio 15 (and earlier) there was an option to remove rendered files. You could remove all rendered files or just the files associated with non-open projects or just the files in the currently open project. The latter was often vital to force a fure-render of clips in the timeline. Does S22 have a similar option? Even with this fubction, in ...
