• Re: PS22 Title Editor Transparency + A simple workaround

Aha!! Spot on Tony. The mathod in that tutorial is (apart from a bit fiddly) proof that PS can do what I want. Using keyer effect does the job and it works with text as well as shapes. In the case of a shape you need two of a kind, one slightly smaller inside the other. Colour it green and then use the chomakey effect on the inner circle to ...

  • Re: PS22 Title Editor Transparency + A simple workaround

Tony, Before I started this thread all I really needed was a circular ''ring'' shape (hollow circle like a letter ''O''). I simply wanted to place it over a persons face in a school photo to highlight that person. And that's when I got stuck. There's no way in the titler to create a ring shape - only solid objects. In the case of text (though ...

  • Re: PS22 Title Editor Transparency + A simple workaround

I mainly only use the title editor for the simplest of captions because that's what it does best. It's too problematic for much else and several of its functions turn out to be disapointing. I used to have caption generator software on an Amiga 500 that could do a better job - no joke. And PS12 which I still have installed, using what was ...

  • Re: PS22 Title Editor Transparency + A simple workaround

What do you reckon? Is this something that a title editor should do? Am I expecting too much from PS22 or is it a bug? Or simply a missing (or removed) feature? I don't know if other comparable video editors have this transparency feature and I wouldn't buy one just for this. But I know the earlier versions of PS (15 and below) could do ...

  • PS22 Title Editor Transparency

I have some questions about the 2d title editor in PS22.First a quick explanation. In the 2d title editor I cannot find a way to make text or an object display only their border.By this I mean I cannot create text or an object which is surrounded by a border but has a fully transparent ''face''.In Studio 12 I could select a shape and stretch it to ...

  • Re: Pan & Zoom help needed (PS22)

glus:1. Okay, understood. C-P keyframes from clip to clip, and without the limitation in (2). 2. The starting keyframe has slightly different properties, part of our keyframe implementation. We're working through some issues with that and should have it fixed soon. 3. Thanks for the steps on the Unpredictable Results. ...

saby:Use them on a video and not a still image. What they do will be more obvious to you. Ah right. I've only used P&Z on still images so far. For instance, I often take 180 or 360 degrease panned photos on my stills camera. In S22 I pan across the image for a panorama effect. Also needs zoom to fill the full screen. I really like that ...

  • Re: Pan & Zoom help needed (PS22)

glus:Did I miss anything? I think you understood me spot on! However... 1. I'm not sure about the copy from the pink line idea. It would only be useful (in my scenario) if it copied the last frame (or last keyframe) only. If it copied the whole ''effect'' then it wouldn't help me. It has to have the ability to copy the last keyframe setting ...

  • Re: Pan & Zoom help needed (PS22)

R_Vera:Why don't you make your pictures by using PS12 and then make an AVI file (or whatever format you need) and then just import your file into PS22. Yes that could be done but the reasons why I'd prefer to use PS22 exclusively include... (1) In theory the PS22 Pan & Zoom is a lot more sophisticated than PS12. Among other things, it has ...

R_Vera:Have you seen this video tutorial. It applies for all versions of Pinnacle Studio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8QfFhLBXiE Yes I have thanks. However, like most of his videos, it is really just a starting point and most of what he shows is obvious (to someone who has used P&Z in other software). I guess I'd need the next ...
