1 advantage of RAW is there is no missing audio frames when you hit the next file. When capturing these type of units make standard AVI clips and string them together for playback. Every once in awhile I get an empty wave frame when recording. Using RAW eliminates this issue. I use AVI 2 for my Citydisc units........Edd

When you look at the add ons in the offer that is being made, there is Avid DVD, Boris, Sorensen. So even if you didn't use MC you can still use these programs with Liquid. So then you have the possibilities to burn BR disc as well as awesome effects and encoding possibilities. So get the bundle for the apps.

You only need to update if you could use the added features the update adds. I like paying for updates as that means there is money for R&D. If you don't need a feature an upgrade provides you can wait until the next one is available and upgrade then. Reading the boards people are skipping upgrades all the time as they don't feel they benefit ...

Liquid uses an older version of DiVX and it can not be upgraded. You can install new DiVX on your system but it doesn't work with Liquid...........Edd

I simply think you need to move on to something else. Media Composer can't do ACHVD and it cost thousands of dollars. Editors there need to transcode that file type so they can use it. And it is truly a professional software. Good luck...........Edd

It says in your profile the video card is a 256 version. While able to edit HD and SD a 512 card may make all the difference during editing and help you see the flash. The flash is worse when you are editing HD than SD though. How long is the actual video on your DVD?.........edd

I use Liguid at our church and it is great for this type of issue. Use a converter to make all the clips the same format. I use several that work fine. They are format factory, Super video converter, Any video converter and Mpeg Streamclip. With these tools I can convert almost every format into something that works for Liquid. As to 4x3 and 16x9 ...
