Because of the Dongle problem, Liquid Chrome Xe only runs in Demo mode, while the output via AJA Xena LHe works fine. The question is, whther it would be possible to install Liquid 7.2, which registers fine under Windows 7, and add this part of the installation of Chrome Xe which interfaces with AJA Xena LHe. If this would be possible, one ...

Hallo Dave,
I have run another test installation under Windows 7 RC. The driver you have mentionned in your first contibution to this thread does not get installed under Windows 7. It always fails with the error message: ''not supported OS''. I have trried it with various compatibility settings, however, I always get the same error ...

Chrome Xe installs standard (outdated) AJA Xena drivers. It works also with newer ones. You get better support for third party programs with newer ones.

I have installed AJA's driver version 4.0 first, then I installed Liquid Chrome Xe. When Liquid-installation comes to the point to install AJA driver, it first asks you whether ...

I tried to run Chrome Xe under Vista Ultimate 64-bit. All works fine, but also only in Demo mode. This is because there are no 64-bit drivers for the dongle available. So I went back to XP-32 bit. Here you can add the following switches to your Boot.ini file: /3GB /USERVA=2700
This is the way how Avid Media Composer runs with 2.7 GB when 4 ...

As Lew said, DV and HDV have different cooding algorithms. Capturing DV via firewire has a fixed bitrate of 25 Mbit/s (or 3.6 MByte/s), while HDV capturing delivers either 18 Mbit/s (2.25 MByte/s) with HDV 720p or 25 Mbit/s (3.6MByte/s) with HDV 1080i. Therefor SD-video may consume more disk space compared to the same length of HD ...

I have not tested Chrome Xe with W7-64bit, however, I did test it with Vista-64. The AJA-driver is not a problem. Just install the one available from the AJA homepage. I used version 4 drivers and Liquid properly works with it. There are other things that do not work under W7-64 bit or Vista-64 bit, that is the old Pro-BOB has no driver and the ...

Peter,
I recommend to use export to Quicktime (.mov file). Set the format to 1440 x 1080 50p/60p (depending on your regieonal standard). You can then easily transcode this file with Quicktime Pro.

Joachim

Andy,
I have a dual boot system running, with one system XP and the other W7RC-64 bit. It works fine and you can always go back to your XP system.

Frank,
I have the same problem from time to time. It happened with nvidia Quadro FX3400, Quadro FX1700 (my current one) and also with ATI 1950 Pro. In my case it only happened, if I set my HDV timeline to 720/50P and format to MPEG-2 422 I-frame only, 50 Mbit/s. With standard setting MPEG-2 IBP it never happened. I do not know whether this helps ...
