Guess you could make a small AVI (or AVI the whole project), then split the clip just at the end of the first trans and insert the 2nd. Pete.

Stefano, there're 25 bmp images a second made during the avi generation...maybe during this process some of them were accidently deleted, which might give you a blank screen...dunno...they do take up a LOT of space so when I'm finished with thw avi I usually delete them...Pete.

Hi Stefano, if you use the Pal format why not try ''Route generator''...it's a free program and works great...you first import your map background then draw the route with the mouse ( fully adjustable width and colour)...it will then create an AVI for you of the moving route...it comes with several small icons, such as car, ...

Unfortunately, Route Gen is in PAL format. A nice FREE tool I use is DV Date which converts any AVI to a Type 2 which will play in Studio...also, the frame rate can be changed to NTSCPete

I dont have version 10, just 9.35 but when your timeline video goes black it usually means the original video souce has been deleted from the computer. If your original was on a CD(?) you can put it back into the computer and when you open the project in Studio it should be on the ...

...off topic Mark but I've done the local steam runabouts...Haworth, Ramsbottom and such as the Round Robin at Dartmouth and I can see the fascination, especially now using video...even had to use extra throwaway UV filters in front to get those magical tunnel shots with the steam and soot spiralling around me...turning from the open window ...

A quick thought but if you've got chroma-key involved then when cc is applied there's a change in the settings which would allow a ''bleed through''.
Yon, have you tried copying that bad clip and rendering to an AVI without the cc...then add the cc to the AVI?...Pete.
