Frank, This may not be the fault of the display card I have used chrome Xe for 18 months with the ATI x1950 never had a problem I am now using the latest drivers (9.3) sorry I but I have no idea what could be causing the trouble

It is a long time but if I remember right, if your Liquid is an upgrade from Studio you need to insert your Studio disc when you get this message and Liquid then confirms you are legal.

Yes I have the 1950 pro card and it works great

George mentioned his method maybe 12 months ago and it worked for me

John,  I use Sony Premium for HDV with my HV20 and although it might be deemed as bad practice I am now shooting for the sixth time on each tape and have never had a single problem. I am of course only doing amateur nature and wildlife filming so if something does go wrong it is no matter.    

I also always use EZ to capture full 1 hour HDV tapes, never a problem.

I have 3 partitions on my HD Liquid is on one and so is that folder. Studio is on another and so is that folder. The third partition without Liquid or Studio does not have that folder
