I was also looking forward to version 17, but will wait a bit and see what happens. Not enough new things for an upgrade right now since I'm a casual user.
Does anyone know if we will have to buy a new smartsound plugin, if we already have one for Studio 16?

I have a sliding red text entering screen for the title. The preview is fine and after burning image, preview still fine, but after the BR disc is burned (fit to disc), the sliding text has top half in red and the bottom half in green. Any thoughts on this?
When I exported to DVD and burned that disc, the colour was fine.

fidel47:At the end of September started the offer for the DVD
http://www.classondemand.net/media/pinnacle-training/studio16.aspx
The problem with the DVD from COD is the outrageous freight cost. Make sure you check it out first. They wanted about $100 for freight to Toronto, Ontario Canada. At most it should have been about ...

I am putting together a new system and I have read all the issues with cards other than dx9, but the ATI 1950 is very hard to find. Has anyone used the ATI 3870 card (this is a true ATI card I can get). Any issues. I don't know if it is worth the gamble or not.
The store I am using initially thought he could get the 1950 and wanted to know ...

Yes, I'm going to look for the 1950 or 1900 as it is $200 difference, but will probably opt for the 1950.
On another issue. I believe I saw it mentioned, but couldn't find it again. Quad core 2.4 versus a dual core 3+. Finally, would 4 gigs of ram be any benefit over the 2gigs I definitely will be getting.

Does it matter if the card is AGP or PCI Express. I'm about to upgrade my MB and newers ones all seem to have PCI Express. I have no issues with my current ATI x800 card, but it is AGP. Looking at Asus MB with Quad core.

If I remember correctly, where you make the DVD menu, there are button in the middle that say absolute links. I'm sure someone will probably confirm or correct me before I get a chance to look.

For my screen layout, I use the 2nd from the bottom on the ''eye'' pop up list. However, I would love to make the preview window about a third smaller and show more of the timeline since I'm using multiple video and audio layers. I know I can use the top choice for timeline only, but I hate to pop back and forth.
