I have a SONY Z1U and so I can shoot either 16:9 or 4:3. I'm in a PAL country where I'm producing a TVC for a local television station.
They've asked for it as 5:4 720 x 576 which I assume is the standard DV aspect ratio when shooting in PAL. But if I shoot 16:9 is there any way to letterbox the ...

I am about to buy a new laptop. It will be the primary machine on which I do all my capture (with the PRO BOB) and all my editing. I realize there are probably as many opinions as there are makes, but I would appreciate a recommendation or two. Here's what I think I know so far.

Lew, I just went to the download page and saw the size of the full patch. I can't download a file that large. My connection is neither fast enough nor stable enough. Is there any way to obtain a copy of it on a disk?

I'm getting a new laptop. In the past, each time I have had to reinstall Windows I have upgraded LE in the following way.
Install 7.0 from the disk I got with the PRO BOB as part of an upgrade package. The disc reads: Avid Liquid Pro 7 Upgrade (this requires plunking my old LE 5.5 disc in the drive several times)
