Absolutely, but you need to remember that it requires 5volts to be supplied to it in order to operate correctly.... This was supplied by a power connection point on the original codec card of the FAST Liquid hardware card... Now that Liquid is (effectively) software-only, you need to provide this 5v separately - easiest way is ...

Yes, the Jog Shuttle works fine with Liquid 7.2 / Chrome Xe... We still use ours daily!

Dave, Thomas S mentioned the 50Mb MPEG-2 I-frame codec in Liquid that you can select as the render codec... It really is good - even going back to the original FAST Studio, the 50Mb codec kicked a$$... We still use it when doing anything SD from DigiBeta etc or when - like you - down-converting from HD sources that is destined for DV or DVD ...

Very true, Dave. I read the original email as the DVD containing his own material (old B&W film transferred to DVD). I realise now that this may (or may not) be a correct assumption!.

See if you can find a copy of DVD Decryptor... (check Google....).
Before decrypting using ''file'' mode, go to the ''tools'' menu... select ''options'', and under the ''File Mode'' tabe, select ''None'' as the file splitting option. After decryption is complete, you'll end up with one BIG vob file.... ...
