• Re: Just can't remember.....

Pretty sure it's the ''tungsten.exe'' file that is included on the CHROME Xe setup disc (that isn't on the regular Liquid 7.2 disc) that provides the drivers etc between Liquid and the Xena.... R.

Yes, thanks Tomas... Actually have 4.0.3 here but I'm reluctant to update mid-project. I know it's usually not a problem to update, but I don't want to tempt fate! At least it showed that there wasn't a problem with Mark's file!... R.

  • Re: Importing HDCam files

Mark, Just tested the file on our Media Composer system (V3.5.4).... works fine.... sees the whole clip, (timeline is a 720 50P timeline...) so it's definitely something a little out of the ordinary for Liquid to handle... but hey, considering that 50P wasn't even on the horizon when the last Liquid update came out, we should probably be ...

  • Re: Importing HDCam files

Hi Mark, Seeing the same thing here - truncated clip.... The XML data shows that the clip was captured on a '700 XDCAM HD at a frame rate of 50P. Any reason why you shot at 50P as opposed to either 50i or 25P? Personally, I think that may be the problem. Liquid can handle 25P on the timeline (and yes, the part of the clip that we can see plays ...

Hey Mak, Okay, I;ll be back in the office tomrrow morning.... I'll set access to our FTP... lets take it one step at a time and see if we can come up with something that works for you... Like Thomas says, some of the problem could be being caused by the newer versions of Sony's clip browser.... I'll have a ''play'' and see what we can come ...

  • Re: Importing HDCam files

...are you saying that only 30sec comes in or the longest clip you need to import is 30 sec?? Went and double-checked the files that we use.. Looks like we've been using footage shot in an F355... so that would make it 1440x1080 @ 35Mb/s... Haven't used anything from the '700 or '800 within Liquid... If you're interested, maybe you could ...

  • Re: magic timewarp number?

....aahhh, you're forgetting that regardless of whether you shoot 50i or 59.94i (assuming we're talking DV or HDV) the data rate doesn't change - it stays constant at 25Mb/s. The amount of data used in each field/frame is NOT the same when using 50i or 59.94i. Therefore - logically - if you play back material that is shot at 50i at a frame rate of ...
