Well if you need several parts from the same source clip the method is pretty fast. Just press play and the I for in, O for out and B to put the clip on the timeline - and the H to focus the player window again. Repeat. You don't even need to place a mark in on the timeline. The clips will be inserted where the time marker is.
And if you need a ...

LewS:This is how four point editing works in all professional NLE's. You should not be doing four point edits unless you need fill to fit applied.
How about making it optional. I have never needed to make a timewarp this way. But I have had to undo a lot of edits because I've forgotten to delete an old outpoint on the source.

William Azevedo:and please, take track selection out of the undo/redo list. it's just annoying, there's nothing useful un undoing a track selection.
I agree.
I also don't like the new four point editing style where timewarps are added if four in- and outpoints exist when I make an edit. Just use the in points and the shortest duration, thank ...

DaveL:I'm aware of the transition editor, but I'm hoping for a faster way since I drag on the timeline all the time and would like to avoid that extra step of re-applying the fade.Have you taken a look at the trim editor? It's just one keypress to open it, at then you can drag your mark out AND the fade at the same time. If you can't drag the ...

knejmann:In Liquid v6 i used a plugin called ''mda Limiter''. But in 7.2 that plugin does not seem to work right .
Or maybe the plugin works allright. It seems that plugins are added another place in the audio chain in v7.2 than in v6.1!
In 6.1 the order seemed to be: input -> Audio faders (rubberband) -> plugin (limiter) -> ...

I'm looking for at good audio limiter vst plugin. Usually I set the overall audio level manually with rubberbands and so, but it would be a real timesaver with a limiter, that can take care of the occational slamming door and other loud peaks.
Any suggestions?

DaveL: is there a way to drag the end of a clip along with a transition that is at that same clip end?
You can do that in trim mode. In the standard keyboard setup F5 opens the trim editor.

Webshark2000:Is there a shortcut key, perhaps on the keypad, that will let you do this without having to click on the drop-down menu?
Sure. Just skip + or - and punch in the timecode using the numeric keypad. When you hit the first number key the box will pop up in ''= mode''.

salexander:the way Liquid matches media seems to be by first determining the position in the media file and then looking for the first clip that contains this media...Just guessing here.If I delete the original clip (without deleting media) match frame is greyed out. So I guess your guess is wrong ;-)Can anyone confirm that what I described above ...

Can anyone explain this?
If I set a couple of markers in a clip and use the ''Create clips'' function (in the scene detection tab) with ''Consider all clip markers'' and ''Masterclips'' checked Liquid creates some new masterclips all linked to the same media.
So far so good.
But if I put one of the new masterclips on a timeline and use ...
