but Avid is currently re-thinking the decision of ending the Current Liquid line (only at the pro end), decision (athough we may or not hear about it), will probably be made over the next 3-4 months.....

With all due respect, I looked for and found my Manuals for Liquid Version 6, Liquid Version 7, and also in the Help Files for Liquid Chrome Xe, they all clearly state and show the example of Digitizing Audio without Video and clearly state as in another post of mine, that when Audio without Video is Digitized, that a Loudspeaker Icon will appear ...

just wanted to add: in Chrome Xe, there are settings for the Hardware where one sets the Reference to Free Run, Input Video, or the External Reference, one would think that if there is an External Ref, that that should suffice for syncing Liquid during any captures.

There is nothing wrong with requiring a video signal present on the input. There is however in Chrome Xe with forcing one to digitize the said video signal. There is no solid reasoning, in my opinion for it.

Since When??? If one goes back, Liquid has almost always allowed one to only capture Audio. When I received my Silver System some years back, I started with ver. 4.02 and then about 18 months ago, picked up the 5.6 Upgrade for it. It (yes, Silver) allowed one to select either Video or Audio or both in the capture tool and it was ...

The only problem with X-Send to Other, is that you have to accept a Fuse, and I need a Composition of Source Clips, the entire Timeline built up just as in Liquid. In X-Send to Other, the Comp of Clips part is grayed out.

Thanks for your reply. I understand due to political or company policies, there might not be any more updates or fixes to the current Liquid, although under the current European Consumer Protection, one could push the issue if they wanted. (their issue).
However, I am still looking for someone to take this upon themselves as is ...

78 Views, 4 Days, and no comments? For a workaround at the moment found out re-installing After Effects 7 works great with X-Send, so will do that for now. X-Send to 7, save Project and then import into AE CS3.
Now, where are all the programmers or simple coders at? Let me know what you would want to fix the X-Send to After Effects ...
