When you have your project on the timeline and wish to save it, are you clicking on 'file' 'save project' or 'save as'?
Changing the location of the 'my documents' folder should be OK.

You could use the Microsoft Movie Maker to render your WMV to an AVI file and then open it in your Studio 9.
This might not work. As I recall, Movie maker saves AVI files as AVI type 1. Studio 9 will only accept AVI type 2 files. Studio 10 and 11 will accept AVI type 1 or type 2.

Re brand of media ... You name it, I've tried it <g>. For the most part, I'm making a master on Sony DVD-RW, then copying onto Verbatim, Phillips, Maxell, Memorex, etc. I've stuck with -R, because - as you just confirmed - I'd heard +Rs don't work with some players (I do have some +Rs though, and plan to give them a try today.)

Try this;
Turn off your computer, plug in your external drive and turn it on, then start your computer.
Go to explorer or my computer and see if the drive is recognized.

We also have problems with the level handles even when the clips are not trimmed. I have had it on WAV and MP3 files.

A suggetion for your future posts. If you use a keyword such as click here, highlight it, then click on the 'chain link' in the tool bar and click on 'insert'. Now the reader only has to click on the key word to go to the link.
