Sorry to hear of your very bad luck.
I know this won't help you at the moment, but perhaps it will help you or others in the future. The very first thing that one should do, before making any sort of change to the hardware or software of the computer, is to make an image backup of your drive. Now, no matter what happens, you can get back to your ...

Terry and Mark;
After further investigation, it appears that I got fooled when I made my test. Further testing indicates that it has not been solved. My mistake was to take 30 clip and divide it equally into three segments, select the middle segment, and apply Vitascene. With all three segments the same length and the video not much different, I ...

I don't believe that it will. You have to save the audio only file out of studio and then open it in audacity. I don't think Adobe Audition will do what you describe. If it will, I don't know how to do it. Perhaps someone else will.

You can perform a lot of those functions in Audacity. It is free and is highly recommended on the forum. It does have a noise removal facility and works by sampling the noise.

I just made a test by putting four slides onto the timeline and switching to the slide show mode. I applied 'moving picture' effects to each slide. When I played the sequence, it wasn't very smooth. I turned on 'background rendering', then it played smoothly. no black frames between slides. Only problem, when I turned on background rendering ...

I didn't go searching back through earlier posts, but I think the problem was that if you took a 30 second, or such, clip on the timeline and split it into three segments, select the center segment, then open VitaScene, I believe that the preview in ...

I have used the same technique using Adobe Audition, that's the new version of Cool Edit. Works really great and is much more flexible.
Of course, it's not free, but if you happen to have it for other purposes, it's great.

I believe you are correct. I just did another test using 11.1.1 and both the preview in VitaScene and the Studio timeline were both correct. I started with a 30 second clip and divided it into three equal segments. I then applied the VitaScene to the middle section.

In earlier posts it was mentioned that if you had a 30 second clip in the timeline and you razor cut it into three 10 sec clips, then selected the middle clip and applied a VitaScene effect, VitaScene would apply the effect to all three segments. The work around was to razor cut the clip in the album, then it work work fine.
Yesterday I ...
